My son thinks that I am Taylor Swift
My son thinks that I am Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and/or the Cast of Glee
Babies LOVE music, they also love television which means that Jack and I listen to music ALL day. We have very eclectic taste; in the car we listen to CBC, Lady Gaga, or Glee (I said eclectic), and at home we are usually rocking out the Hot Country channel on the TV.
Up until now, I was completely convinced that Jack was smitten by the beautiful sound of my voice. Feeling quite chuffed, as the Brits would say, this morning I decided to test my theory...BAD idea mum!
What I have discovered is that my son loves the music in combination with the crazy lady dancing while very expressively making up new words to Poker Face (who actually knows the proper ones), or pretending that she is on stage performing “Don’t Stop Believing” with Finn and Rachel Berry (Rachel, obviously my back up).
Oh well, when I get the huge two teeth grin, I can't help but keep on keeping on...wait, isn't that a song?

Happy Father’s Day!
Happy Father’s Day!
On January 12, 2010, I wrote the following post:
Chris as a dad has been the best and most exciting part about Jack being around. I knew that he was going to be great at it but I am in wonder. He is so calm and helpful...he even gave Jack a bath on his own!
I have heard many times that having a child will bond you to your spouse in a very intense way but never did I imagine that I would form this inexplicable respect for my husband. I wish that there was a word stronger than love.
Now more than five months have gone by and the above could not be truer.

And we are done here....
Shut it Down
Since the day that Jack turned 5 months old (June 1), his little personality has become even more apparent. Jack LOVES to play with his toys, pose for the camera, chat (yell – usually in a public place), and definitely *loves* to eat yams and baby cookies.
Jack can also go from 0 to 60 in no time flat when it comes to bed time. Seconds before I began filming this video the Jack Attack was all smiles and eating a Mum-Mum. To this I say – Shut it down.

Wow – second TLC reality show reference in a row! While we (the baby, obviously) are a far cry from prancing around on a stage with false eye lashes, Jack has been chosen as a finalist in a Cute Kid Contest.
