Just one year ago, your mum, dad, and auntie Mara were hanging out in a hospital room waiting for you to arrive. I love you so, so much and you truly hold a very special place in my heart, you are such a “good guy”. Below are my favourite things about you:

The way your little face lights up when I talk to you (or anyone else for that matter)
March so far has not been a good month for us. Either one, two, or all three of us have been sick at any given time. With that said, there is not much new to report. Instead, please see below for the most recent pictures of the Jack Attack.
Every time that Jack and I are at Auntie Carly’s house we have a great time; she makes awesome dinners, gives tones of cuddles to Jack, and always has a fun baby song to sing about animals, gardens and teddy bears, knees and toes etc.Each time she sings them I try SO hard to make a mental note to remember them but I never do...
No, no, every time that Jack and I are so close to home after I have pushed him just that extra 30 minutes between feedings (see picture below) my mind goes completely blank.

Well, not completely blank, I do always come up with the following four songs to soothe my young baby:

·Tik Tok – Kesha (Side Bar, the misspelling of Tik Tok drives me insane, what does this girl have against the letter “C”?)
Determined not to feel like a bad mum for singing said “inappropriate songs” to my eight week old baby, I have decided to dissect the lyrics and find the obvious, positive messages in each of the four songs in our repertoire.
Bust a Move – Young MC
Original Lyrics - Girl starts walkin, guys start gawkin, sits down next to you and starts talkn, says she wanna dance cus she likes the groove, so come one fatso and just bust a move.
Positive Translation – The girls sit next to boys that are not gawking – aka be nice to women and do not objectify them.
99 Problems – Jay Z
Original Lyrics – If you’re havin girl problems I feel bad for you son, I’ve got 99 problems but a b**ch ain’t one.
Positive Translation – You can have all of the problems in the world but as long as you have a nice girl to love you (when you are 30), you can take on any adversity.

Original Lyrics – Pants on the ground, pants on the ground, lookin like a FOOL with your pants on the ground.

Vancouver seems to have a constant stream of stars at any time, there is always some movie being filmed or some cool event that is going on. With that said, you would think that I would be rubbing elbows with Rob Pattinson and Sarah Mclaughlin constantly...not so much.
With the Olympics in town there are more famous people than ever and FINIALLY I saw someone! We were downtown on Monday, getting the water Taxi from Grandville Island to Downtown and who do I see? Summer from the OC! Below are two pictures found on the internet by Chris of Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen....and me...almost litterly rubbing elbows. The Paparazzi can be so invasive. I cannot believe that Jack is almost 2 months old!Weighing in at close to 10lbs, he is changing every day.Chris and I are having so much fun learning all of Jack’s different noises and looks; among the most fun have been learning which sounds etc, Jack is afraid of;
·His own hands
·Clicking (seat belt)
·Snapping (car seat)
·Auntie Carly’s baby gate
·Sudden movements
·Non sudden movements that could be mistaken for sudden movements
·Deep breaths (while sitting with mum and dad)
·Sneezing
But most of all, Jack HATES the sound of Velcro...who knew it could be so scary!?!

Today marks our One Year Wedding Anniversary! It is crazy to think that in less than one year Chris and I have gotten married, moved into our first home, and had a baby. What an amazing year!
